OVERVIEW
The Trainee shall attend practical classes and health care activities throughout the entire duration of the 12-month Program.
The Trainee shall complete the practical part of the Internship Training Program at the location and times, and under the direction of a professional superior, designated in a course plan.
Semmelweis University’s Clinical Departments planned to be involved in the Program:
- Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2 months)
- Department of Pediatrics (2 months)
- Department of Surgery (2 months)
- Department of Internal Medicine and Hematology (2 months)
- Elective Department (2 months)
- Emergency Medicine Department (approx. 1 month)
- Radiology (15 days)
The Clinical Departments can be modified based on the participating student’s preferences.

Entry requirements
- The program is open to Post-graduate medical students.
- Applicats need to posess a medicine degree issued by an authorized higher educational institution and officially recognized by the competent educational authority of Hungary
- The Trainee is required to have some medical examination and undergo an aptitude test before entering the Program.

English language examination/language level certificate
Learning objectives
- Trainee will observe initial physical examination of patients,assist the administration on the patient’s file, record provisional diagnosis, suggest primary investigations and treatment plan provided that the treatment plan is discussed and approved by a senior team member.
- Trainee will follow up on the implementation of the prescribed course of treatment, obtain results of all ordered investigations, document the development of any complications that may ensue, and plan discharge and follow-up.
- Trainee will attend and observe in all clinical rounds done by the respective department physicians. Trainee will also have the opportunity to participate in the scientific activities organized by the departments.
- Trainee will have the opportunity to participate in different invasive and non-invasive procedures as an observer both diagnostics and therapeutics under the supervision of a senior team member.
