Semmelweis University, Dept. of Prosthodontics
Entry requirements: Dentists (DMD degree)
Application starts: on demand

OVERVIEW

The Department of Prosthodontics at Semmelweis University is the largest teaching unit of the Faculty of Dentistry. Our clinic is involved in the education of dental students in all semesters except one, from the teaching of material science through odontotechnology to prosthodontics.

One of the most critical steps in the process of making dentures is taking an impression. The impression given to the dental technician is not only a vital piece of information but also the dentist’s signature. What can we do to make sure that this impression gives us the best possible picture of ourselves?

The final step in the process is cementing. This is the step where all our previous work can be ruined if we are not careful. But if we use the right cement in the right way, we can put the crown on our work.

The course is combined of 75 % theoretical part and 25 %t practical part.
