OVERVIEW

Wisdom teeth and their associated diseases are a frequent part of daily dental and surgical practice. The decisions we make in this area can significantly determine the quality of life of our patients.

Due to their varied positions, shapes, and numbers, wisdom teeth rarely form an integral part of the occlusal unit, but they can directly influence its formation and change. There are highlighted time frames in the development of dentition and age when the removal of wisdom teeth can be considered beneficial from the patient’s perspective. Dentists need to be aware of the abnormalities caused by wisdom teeth, the possibilities of their treatment, and also to make a good decision at the right time.

The course introduces participants to the diagnostic and surgical issues related to wisdom teeth and helps to guide dentists and oral surgeons in their daily practice. In addition, participants can gain insight into CBCT diagnostics and assist in live surgeries, where they can follow the process of third molar removal.

The course is combined of 70 % theoretical part and 30 % practical part.
