Personalised Support – Where It Is Needed Most
The Palliative and Comfort Care Unit has developed a flexible care system to ensure that children and their families receive the most appropriate support in every situation. Needs can change from day to day, so our services provide a seamless transition between hospital and home care.
Our care model is built on four core pillars:
Outpatient Care
Regular follow-up visits and in-person consultations for children whose condition is more stable – providing reassurance and continuity even when a hospital stay is not needed.
Inpatient Care
When symptoms require closer monitoring, our unit provides the necessary medical and nursing care in a setting that combines professional expertise with compassionate, personal attention.
Mobile Team
Our expert team is available throughout the Pediatric Center, providing support at the child’s bedside, wherever we are needed. The patient does not come to us; we go to the child.
Emotional and Psychosocial Support
Illness affects not only the child, but the entire family. Our psychologists and support professionals are available from the moment of diagnosis to help the child, their parents, and their siblings.
