Dear Doctoral Students/Doctoral Candidates!

According to the valid statutes of the Doctoral Students’ Union, an election is announced for the future members of the Assembly of Delegates:

During the election, a number of members corresponding to the mandates of the organization may be elected, in this case a maximum of nineteen persons. (DÖK Statutes IV.1. §13 (3))

The EXTENDED periods of the election are as follows:

Nomination period: 20 December 2025 – 13 January 2026, 23:59
Voting period: 16 January 2026 – 3 February 2026

The voting period will be extended until the validity condition defined by

the Nftv. is fulfilled. After the nomination period, the introductions of the candidates running in the election will be published on the DÖK website. This way, participants may vote after getting to know the candidates, their plans, and their goals.

Conduct of the election:

The election is organized by the Election Committee established for this purpose, following the election procedures defined in the statutes.
Voting takes place electronically through the NEPTUN UniPoll system.

Every doctoral student and doctoral candidate may vote for up to 19 persons from among all candidates.
In the event of a tie that affects the acquisition of a mandate, the person or persons obtaining the mandate will be determined by a drawing of lots conducted by the Election Committee.

The vote is valid if the active student/pre-doctoral student of the doctoral school indicates their intention to vote through the online system.

The rules for legal remedy are included in the Statutes.

Members of the Election Committee: Dr. Máté Posta, Orsolya Kozák, Ádám Soós
For matters related to the election, the members of the Election Committee can be reached at the following email address: dok@semmelweis.hu

Nomination:

Any doctoral student or doctoral candidate of the Doctoral School of Semmelweis University with an active student status or doctoral candidate status may nominate themselves.

Nomination is carried out by sending a data sheet (name, name of doctoral program, a photograph of oneself, phone number, email address), a nomination sheet (name, short introduction, and a paragraph describing motivations, goals, and plans, in a maximum of 2 A4 pages) and privacy statement to the email address dok@semmelweis.hu, completed in full and submitted as three separate PDF documents. Templates for documents are available at the links above.

On the website, the nomination sheet will be published; the data sheet will be handled confidentially by the DÖK. In case of formal errors, a one-time opportunity for correction may be provided under identical conditions for all affected individuals, but this is not mandatory.

We welcome all candidates and encourage every Doctoral Student and Doctoral Candidate of the Doctoral School to participate in the election!
