The uniqueness of AmReSu relies on the alignment of the strategic vision, priorities and interests of all Twinning partners, ensuring that although centred in strengthening the antibiotic resistance research field in SU, the results obtained through the project will also benefit the internationally-leading research institutions: UAntwerp and IdISBa:
- the strengthening of existing and inception of new scientific collaborations between SU and BFM research groups and world-leading researchers in antibiotic resistance in the partnering institutions;
- the complementarity of support and technical services and facilities between all partnering institutions allowing knowledge and experience exchange;
- raising significantly the impact of the antibiotic resistance research field at SU as well as to leverage all other research fields of the institute through the expertise and collaborative network of the twinning partners;
- clustering with leading European innovative regions, where the partnering institutions are embedded and have their established networks and outstanding reputation, especially activity in biopharma emerging industry
- the potential to raise regional and national competency and excellence in immunity and infection research field through the positioning of SU as a hinge point in the network of regional and national stakeholders.
