Expertise & Infrastructure
AICER – Anatomy & Innovation Center for Education and Research is designed to be one of Central Eastern Europe’s most advanced translational medical facilities, the building hosts cutting-edge surgical education, biomechanical research, and medical technology validation.
AICER was inaugurated in April 2026 and is expected to operate at full capacity across all areas by the end of the year, after which AICER will be hosting international cadaver-based courses, translational research programs, and MedTech validation projects.
Surgical Innovation

Research and Technology
AICER serves as Semmelweis University’s translational research center. Its research activities span cadaveric validation, biomechanical testing, digital modeling, and molecular diagnostics, all supported by a purpose-built facility designed to enable high-precision experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Education and Training
Beyond traditional anatomy training, AICER provides advanced, cadaver-based surgical courses integrating digital imaging, AR/VR simulation, and biomechanical measurement.

Partnership
AICER offers collaboration opportunities for clinical experts, academic institutions, and companies. Its infrastructure and research ecosystem support joint projects in surgical innovation, technology validation, and education.
