- maintaining and improving the mental and physical health of students
- helping students to fulfil their potential
- identifying the cases where professional help might be needed
For Mentees:
- thorough support during the first academic year
- assistance with the early challenges of studying abroad
- help with the integration and socialization
- close contact with a trustworthy fellow, to whom one can turn during difficulties
For third-year students or above:
- putting experiences gained so far to good use and trying out what it means to be in a supporting role
- improving communication and advisory skills (both of which will be particularly important when working as a doctor)
- learning about stress management and widening the knowledge about the educational infrastructure
