Karolina was invited to speak at the 17th International Symposium “Molecular Basis of Pathology and Therapy in Neurological Disorders”, held in Warsaw on October 15–16, 2026. In her talk, “Direct Neural Reprogramming: a Cellular Model of Human Brain Aging and Rejuvenation,” she presented how directly reprogrammed human neurons can be used to study brain aging, neurodegeneration, cellular rejuvenation, and patient-specific treatment responses, including our recent work in Huntington’s disease. The meeting was also a great opportunity to catch up with Magda Czeredys and colleagues at IMDiK, strengthen ongoing collaborations, and connect with new researchers working across neuroscience and neurological disease. A very enjoyable and inspiring meeting combining science, collaboration, and new connections.
