Karolina was invited to speak at the 16th Conference of the Hungarian Society for Personalized Medicine (MSZSZM), held in Mátrafüred. The two-day meeting brought together researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and representatives of the Hungarian healthcare system to discuss precision medicine, data-driven healthcare, AI, advanced therapies, and translational research. Karolina presented “From Fibroblasts to Neurons: Direct Reprogramming as a Platform for Regenerative and Drug screening,” highlighting how directly reprogrammed induced neurons can preserve donor-specific aging features and provide scalable human models for neurodegenerative disease research, drug screening, and precision medicine. Csaba Kerepesi was also invited to present, with a talk on tracking aging and regeneration using artificial intelligence. As Karolina and Csaba co-lead the HUN-REN–SZTAKI–SU Rejuvenation Research Group, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to jointly highlight the importance of biological aging, rejuvenation, and personalized approaches to healthy aging and disease.

It was an inspiring two days of discussions spanning basic research, clinical medicine, healthcare policy, and regulation, and a valuable opportunity to connect these perspectives around the future of precision medicine.
