We were delighted to welcome Anna Hortobágyi and Míra Beznicza, two Szent-Györgyi students participating in the Young Researchers’ Summer Camp organized by the National Academy of Scientist Education, for a week-long visit to our laboratory. Throughout the week, they experienced the daily life of a research laboratory by visiting our viral vector, molecular biology, and electrophysiology laboratories. They observed a wide range of experimental techniques, including sterile cell culture, FACS sorting, bacterial transformation, plasmid isolation, high-content microscopy, and patch-clamp electrophysiology, while interacting closely with members of our team. We hope this hands-on experience sparked their curiosity and inspired them to pursue a future in biomedical research. It was a pleasure to host such enthusiastic young scientists, and we look forward to welcoming them back—perhaps one day as Semmelweis University students and future researchers!
