Karolina was recently featured by the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) as part of their Women in ELLIS initiative, highlighting female researchers across Europe working at the forefront of AI and machine learning. The feature showcases her interdisciplinary work at the interface of bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, and neurobiology, focusing on human brain aging and neurodegeneration using patient-derived models and AI-based approaches. It also reflects on her journey of returning to Hungary to establish and lead independent research groups, bringing international experience and collaborations to the local scientific ecosystem. We are proud to see her work recognized within the ELLIS network and to contribute to increasing the visibility of researchers from underrepresented regions.
