On November 20, Karolina took part in the Mozgásszervi Akadémiai Nap, organized by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Committee on Musculoskeletal and Sports Sciences, held at Thermal Hotel Margitsziget in Budapest.

Karolina attended as a collaborator of Prof. Zsolt Radák, who co-chaired the morning session on Aging and Exercise. The event brought together experts from clinical and basic sciences to discuss aging, physical activity, and musculoskeletal health.

A major highlight of the program was the keynote lecture by Prof. Steve Horvath (UCLA and Altos Labs), a pioneer in the field of epigenetic aging clocks, whose work has greatly influenced both aging research and our own lab’s direction in neurobiology and reprogramming-based models.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this multidisciplinary event and to be part of ongoing conversations connecting epigenetics, aging, and translational science.
