We’re proud to share that Karolina was invited to speak at the Women in Autophagy (WIA) 6th Annual Symposium, where she presented during the Trainee Talk Session II, an international showcase of researchers working on autophagy.
Her talk, titled “Directly reprogrammed human neurons and astrocytes reveal age-related differences in autophagic regulation”, highlighted the lab’s ongoing work on cell type-specific autophagy alterations in induced human neurons and astrocytes from young and aged donors.
The session brought together talented scientists from around the world working across model systems and disease contexts. It was a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and contribute to the vibrant and growing WIA community.
We’re grateful to the organizers for creating such a supportive and forward-thinking platform for autophagy research, and for the opportunity to be part of it!
