Our team recently spent two enriching days in Szeged at a joint retreat with the Lysosomal Group led by Gábor Juhász, PhD supervisors of both Karolina and Ági. The retreat took place at the Biological Research Centre (BRC) and was a fantastic opportunity for deep scientific exchange, collaboration, and reflection. The program was packed with presentations, group discussions, and informal networking, bringing together two research teams working on autophagy from different biological angles – Drosophila models on one side, and human-induced neuronal and glial models on the other. Beyond the science, the retreat fostered a friendly and open atmosphere that helped spark new ideas, cross-lab collaboration, and strengthened ties between the teams.
We’re grateful for the inspiring environment and look forward to continuing this collaboration!
