The Hungarian Young Academy (FKA, Fiatal Kutatók Akadémiája), a grassroots scientific society operating in accordance with the public tasks of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, held its inaugural meeting. Karolina, as a member of HYA since 2021 had a possibility to talk about how cellular reprogramming and induced neurons can provide an in vitro model to study human aging and age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The goal of the HYA is to participate in the scientific activities of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in close cooperation with the Academy’s bodies, as well as to represent the community of young researchers at home and abroad. With its activities, it aims to help the professional development of young researchers and to strengthen the relationship between researchers and society.
