What is a Freshmen Camp Letter?
Your Freshmen Camp letter will be one of the most defining elements of your camp experience. Upon arrival, each participant receives a letter that designates their team within the camp. These teams form the foundation of the community: you’ll take part in games, programs, and challenges together – all designed to help you feel part of something from the very first moment.
Each team is led by instructors – experienced students of the university – who will be with you throughout the camp. They are there to support you, help you navigate the new environment, and make sure everyone feels safe, welcome, and included.
The following letters can be found in the camp:
GYTK – 3 letter – GYOK1, GYOK2, GYOK3
ÁOK – 8 letter – A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H
ETK – 7 letter – K, L, M, N, R, S, T,
FOK – 2 letter – FOK1, FOK2
PAK – 1 letter – PAK
EKK – 1 letter – J
These letters not only distinguish the teams but represent the different faculties, programs, or academic units within the university.
So, your letter is not just a symbol – it represents belonging.
Being part of a team means becoming part of a supportive community where you’ll make your first university friendships and begin to build the network that will accompany you throughout your years at Semmelweis.
Your Freshmen Camp team – your letter – will stay with you during the camp and become a meaningful part of your university journey.
