The aim of this one-day training course is to offer young thoracic surgeons an opportunity to enhance their skills through a clinical anatomy overview and theoretical discussion, followed by practical lobectomy training using both open and VATS techniques.
For this purpose, we provide specially fixed cadavers that closely resemble living bodies, on which participants can work risk-free in a realistic setting that evokes operating room conditions and equipment.

The clinic operates on the basis of the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology. The high level of clinical activity is guaranteed by the interdisciplinary environment provided by the related disciplines operating at the National Institute of Oncology and the modern infrastructure available. All the conditions for complex oncological care of patients are in place: the diagnostic background is supported by state-of-the-art CT and MRI, complex laboratory, pathological and molecular pathological examinations, and in addition to surgical treatment, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are also provided.
