Micro-CT technology offers a groundbreaking approach to analyzing bone structure and remodeling. It provides high-resolution, three-dimensional imaging of bone microarchitecture, allowing the detection of even the smallest structural changes. Our research utilizes micro-CT to examine the processes of bone resorption, their dynamics, and associated structural transformations.
Micro-CT provides a unique opportunity for detailed, non-destructive analysis of bone tissue, enabling precise tracking of structural changes. It allows not only the measurement of bone loss but also the assessment of bone quality parameters. In our previous publications (Csete et al., Frontiers in Immunology. 2019), we demonstrated how micro-CT opens new perspectives in understanding bone metabolism processes.
