The Doctoral Students’ Self-Government was established at our University in 2013, and since then it has been working with an enthusiastic team to help doctoral students as much as possible, to develop and improve doctoral education. Our activities can be summarised through a fourfold mission statement:
- Representation of interests: we represent the interests of doctoral students in the disciplinary doctoral schools (TDI), in the standing committees of the Doctoral School, in the University Doctoral Council (EDT), and also in the University Senate. Our fundamental aim is to solve problems affecting doctoral students quickly and efficiently, and to represent our common interests on a professional basis.
- Science organisation: our priority tasks include science organisation, science outreach and community building. We are involved in organising conferences, workshops and round tables, and help our doctoral students to develop their scientific careers.
- Grant-making: lobbying for and helping to secure social, research, housing and conference grants
- Communication: we try to communicate our work and its results to doctoral students at the university and channel their opinions and suggestions for improvement.
Our work and our activities are extremely wide-ranging, so we encourage you to contact us at any of our contact points with any problems, questions or suggestions that concern you.
Best regards:
The Doctoral Student Association team
