The Doctoral College of Semmelweis University has re-opened its travel grant, supporting active PhD, MD-PhD, and pre-doctoral students in attending domestic or international conferences and scientific training courses.

The grant aims to support young researchers’ professional development, conference participation, and the presentation of their own scientific results. Funding may be used for registration fees, travel costs, and accommodation.

The maximum amount of support is HUF 400,000 for travel within Europe and HUF 600,000 for overseas travel. For international travel, applicants must simultaneously submit an application to the Pannónia Scholarship Programme.

For conference participation, an accepted first-author or shared first-author oral presentation or poster is required. Proof of acceptance and the abstract may be submitted after the application, but are prerequisites for the disbursement of funding.

Application period: 22 May – 30 June 2026 Submission: palyazz.semmelweis.hu Expected decision: 9 July 2026 Important: if funding is awarded, travel must be completed by 31 December 2026.

Full eligibility criteria and the list of required documents are available on the Doctoral College website.
