László Sándor Erdélyi (MD, PhD) obtained his PhD in 2015 and completed his specialist training in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy in 2020. He also earned the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EDAIC) in the same year.
He is currently an assistant professor and consultant at the Adult Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of the Gottsegen György National Cardiovascular Institute, and an external lecturer at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Semmelweis University. Previously, he worked as a clinical specialist and educator at the university’s Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy.
Dr. Erdélyi has been serving as an emergency physician with the Hungarian Air Ambulance since 2013 and has several years of experience with the National Ambulance Service. His academic background includes research and teaching in physiology at Semmelweis University’s Institute of Physiology and the MTA–SE Molecular Physiology Research Group.
His main professional interests include cardiovascular intensive care, anaesthesia for high-risk patients, airway management, and medical education.
