She has outstanding professional expertise, dedication, and a proactive attitude. She performs her work with a high degree of precision and reliability, and has a comprehensive understanding of the full spectrum of administrative processes, which she handles with confidence. R\u00e9ka Kaltenecker was honored with the Excellent Staff Member Award by the Centre for Translational Medicine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

R\u00e9ka’s work is unique because she fosters collaboration not only with her close colleagues but also with other university units. She most frequently cooperates with the Doctoral Office in carrying out her daily tasks. She has a deep understanding of students’ journey, from admissions through their Ph.D. defenses, so she can assist them with everything they need.<\/p>\n

\u201cStudents approach me with all sorts of questions, and I do my best to help them. For example, they might need help because they didn\u2019t register for a course or failed to activate their semester. In such cases, they need support to complete these tasks. There are also cases where a student needs a certificate for some reason, or needs to be informed about what documents must be submitted for a Ph.D. defense and by what deadline.\u201d R\u00e9ka works closely with the year coordinators and assists them in their work. When necessary, she is also in contact with the scientific methodology supervisors and, if needed, with the supervisors. They typically reach out to her with their questions during the Ph.D. defense period.<\/p>\n

In 2024, CTM launched an MSc program, and R\u00e9ka became involved in related tasks as well. The first students who graduated from the program received their degrees at a university ceremony last September. R\u00e9ka was involved in the event’s administrative work and was responsible for preparing the necessary documents and records, as well as the degrees. Her duties also include the administrative management of the admissions process, for which she has already begun preparations. In her work, she works most closely with Prof. G\u00e1bor Varga and Henriett V\u00e1cz. As part of her duties, she is also responsible for training new colleagues joining CTM as it expands and sharing her knowledge with them.<\/p>\n
