Distinguished Hungarian and international experts participated at the event as committee members.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 12-month Progress Report of the CTM was held in the last week of August at Semmelweis University, with the opening speech of Mahmoud Obeidat. Dr. Obeidat announced that first-year students have 178 projects, and their progress is excellent. They already have nine manuscripts submitted and ten manuscripts finalized.<\/p>\n<p>After the opening speech, the students started their presentations. The members of the Dentistry Group first, and then the members of the Cardiology-Intensive Group. On the second day of the Progress Report, members of the Pediatrics Group and the Gastroenterology Group delivered their talks. On the third day, members of the Gynecology-Urology Group, the Dermatology-Immunology Group, and the Miscellaneous Group delivered their presentations.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the first day of the Progress Report, Nicole Li and M\u00e1rton Papp took their Complex Exam. Dr. Li&#8217;s research is on the applicability of complementary and alternative Chinese medicine in pediatric oncology. Dr. Papp is investigating the effects of procalcitonin-guided antibiotic therapy versus standard treatment in critically ill patients.<\/p>\n<p>As committee members, distinguished Hungarian and international experts participated in the Complex Exam. Prof. G\u00e1bor Varga represented Semmelweis University as General Vice Director of CTM, while Dr. Domonkos Tr\u00e1sy participated as an Anaesthesiologist and Intensive Care Specialist from the University of Szeged.
