Project Description:
Zita is a paediatric surgeon working at Bethesda Children’s Hospital. She is currently working on a meta-analysis comparing the two main surgical techniques for orchidopexy, which will give surgeons a significant help in choosing the right technique in the future. As a second project she will investigate the potential of magnetic anastomosis in oesophageal surgery in ex vivo pig models. Her last project will be the development of a new model for simulated training of thoracoscopic repair of esophageal atresia using a pyeloureteric magnetic anastomosis-like device.
