Project Description:
Boglárka is a full-time, second-year PhD student interested in cardiac devices and remote monitoring. Her first project is a meta-analysis comparing mortality outcomes for cardiac resynchronization therapy with and without a defibrillator. Her study would help in the adequate choice of therapy in heart failure patients. Her second project will be a meta-analysis as well, which aims to investigate whether remote home monitoring may improve patient outcomes in heart failure patients when compared to standard of care. Remote monitoring could help in the early identification of heart failure progression and decrease mortality in this patient group.
