\"\"SCIENTIFIC EDITOR
\n<\/strong>Postgraduate training<\/p>\n

In February 2026, the Institute of Languages for Specific Purposes is launching a new program in English: the Scientific Editor postgraduate training is a 100% online, 2-semester-long program, focusing on skills and competencies necessary for preparing and editing scientific journals, articles, presentations, coursebooks, theses, educational materials in both printed and online formats. Students of the program study academic writing and scientific editing skills and familiarize themselves with scientific terminology and genre-specific knowledge.<\/p>\n

Length of the training:<\/strong> 2 semesters<\/p>\n

Schedule:
\n<\/strong>– Friday 3pm-8pm EST
\n– Saturday 8am-3pm EST<\/p>\n

Aims of the program:<\/strong>
\n– Understand the rules and tools for creating cohesion and coherence
\n– Paraphrase scientific texts effectively
\n– Use a wide range of expressions typical of English scientific writing
\n– Learn basic, field-specific terminology
\n– Identify characteristics of different scientific genres
\n– Evaluate the structural, linguistic, and terminological quality of scientific texts
\n– Handle in-text references and compile accurate reference lists
\n– Plan and manage editorial tasks efficiently<\/p>\n

Admission requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– BA\/BSc degree\/qualification in medicine, health sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, humanities, economic sciences, law, sports sciences, agriculture, or engneering.
\n– C1 complex English language certificate or passing our pre-admission proficiency test.<\/p>\n
