From September 6-8, one of the most important international congresses in the field of sepsis research, the Sepsis Update, took place in Weimar (Germany).<\/p>\n

Under the motto „Immunotherapies – Advances and Adaptations”, internationally recognized experts came together to discuss the current state of sepsis research and treatment, address the currently controversial issues, and point out the direction of future research.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>During the 11th Weimar Sepsis Update, current results from the Emergency Department were presented in a scientific lecture as well as in a poster presentation by Dr. Leonhard von Beck <\/strong>and discussed with the expert community. Leonhard von Beck is a freshly graduated doctor and a former student researcher of the department (supervisor: Dr. B\u00e1nk Fenyves).<\/p>\n

Dr. Beck\u2019s presentation was titled „Resistance to first-line empirical antibiotic treatment in septic patients admitted to the emergency department<\/em>„.
