As we look back on the autumn months, it is worth recalling one of the summer\u2019s major achievements: the inauguration of a new, over 280-square-meter student and faculty space at Semmelweis University\u2019s Department of Internal Medicine and Hematology. The project, coordinated by the Directorate of Supporting Services and Student Relations<\/span>, was implemented through an investment of approximately 17 million forints.<\/p>\n

The renovated community area, designed with multifunctionality in mind, simultaneously serves as a venue for studying, examinations, educational demonstrations, relaxation, and social interaction. This modern and welcoming environment not only makes everyday life more comfortable for students but also enhances the quality of education and clinical work \u2014 providing a venue for lectures, small-group sessions, and conferences alike.<\/p>\n\r\n [slb_exclude]\r\n

At the inauguration ceremony, Dr. B\u00e9la Merkely<\/strong>, Rector of Semmelweis University, emphasized:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a clinical setting, developments like this are particularly valuable, as there are few spaces dedicated specifically for student use alongside patient care. This renewed environment offers students a place to study, prepare, or simply relax \u2014 all while strengthening their connection to the university.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Dr. Tam\u00e1s Masszi<\/strong>, Director of the Clinic, highlighted that the institution has undergone remarkable development in recent years, and this investment marks another important milestone in that process. The aesthetic, accessible space now welcomes students and faculty with a self-service kitchen, modern lighting, and a renovated lecture hall \u2014 where exams and teaching programs are already taking place.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the Directorate of Supporting Services and Student Relations\u00a0<\/strong>has been consistently working to make the university\u2019s community spaces more welcoming, comfortable, and responsive to student needs. The new student area at the Department of Internal Medicine and Hematology stands as another tangible result of this ongoing commitment.<\/p>\n
