{"id":7649,"date":"2022-10-05T09:36:28","date_gmt":"2022-10-05T07:36:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/sebeszet\/?page_id=7649"},"modified":"2023-01-23T10:37:34","modified_gmt":"2023-01-23T09:37:34","slug":"trialect","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/sebeszet\/de\/unterricht\/trialect\/","title":{"rendered":"TRIALECT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Semmelweis University, Department of Surgery,<br \/>\nTransplantation and Gastroenterology, Budapest, Hungary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main clinical areas of our group are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General surgery (open and minimally invasive\/ robotic surgery)<\/li>\n<li>Specialties in general surgery (plastic, vascular, urologic)<\/li>\n<li>Solid organ transplantation (kidney, liver, pancreas, simultaneous pancreas-kidney, simultaneous liver-kidney, including pediatric transplantation)<\/li>\n<li>Combined radiological and surgical interventions<\/li>\n<li>Gastroenterology, diagnostics and endoscopic therapy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Surgical procedures you can participate in, and techniques you can learn during your program<br \/>\nhere:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Laparotomy, laparoscopy:cholecystectomy, hernia repair, liver, pancreas, spleen, GI tract surgery, emergency cases<\/li>\n<li>Endocrine surgery<\/li>\n<li>Extended excision of breast cancers, skin tumors, and lymph node metastases, reconstruction with musculocutaneous flaps<\/li>\n<li>Organ procurement, retroperitoneal dissection<\/li>\n<li>Organ preservation, machine perfusion, preparation, implantation<\/li>\n<li>Living related kidney transplantation<\/li>\n<li>Arteriovenous fistula formation for hemodialysis<\/li>\n<li>Nephrectomy, ureter reconstruction, psoas hitch, Boari flap<\/li>\n<li>Negativ wound pressure therapy (NPWT)<\/li>\n<li>Radiological interventions: tumor ablation, catheter embolization, TIPS procedure<\/li>\n<li>Endoscopy, ERCP, stent implantation<\/li>\n<li>We are part of the 250-year-old Semmelweis University, and we keep up with the development of modern surgical approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With existence of many subspecialties at one place we are able to perform all steps of patient<br \/>\ncare from diagnostics, prehabilitation to postoperativ management.<\/p>\n<p>At our Gastroenterology department besides diagnostics, therapeutic procedures are also done<br \/>\ninvolving biliary system and GI tract, and the department is a high volume center for IBD<br \/>\npatients, as well.<\/p>\n<p>To extend our minimal invasive profile, years ago we started transanal surgeries, and in 2022<br \/>\nwe introduced Da Vinci.<\/p>\n<p>We treat more than 2000 oncological patients per year and perform about thousand minimal<br \/>\ninvasive operations yearly.<\/p>\n<p>In cooperation with the Gynecology department we are doing hyperthermic intraperitoneal<br \/>\nchemotherapy (HIPEC) surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Taking transplantation into consideration, we carry out roughly 200 kidney and 80 liver<br \/>\nimplantations and 150-200 multiorgan retrieval annually, therefore we are one of the busiest<br \/>\ncenters of Eurotransplant community.<\/p>\n<p>Our department is also a transplantation training center accredited by the Europen Union of<br \/>\nMedical Specialists (UEMS) Transplant Surgery Division.<\/p>\n<p>In our 4 \u2013 12 week training program we offer the opportunity to participate in routine surgical<br \/>\nprocedures and in special operations, which are useful for beginners and professionals alike.<\/p>\n<p>We nominate a senior leader who will guide the participants and they can keep in touch with<br \/>\neach other during the whole period.
