Students who take a semester off, failed a year, or transferred from another university have to pay the tuition fee of that specific year they rejoin the program. <em>This rule is valid from 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The tuition fee is determined by the year of enrollment to the Program. Students who complete their studies continually (without failing a year) pay the same tuition fee every year (see the table below). Students who repeat a year due to failure or an inactive semester, and students transferred from another university have to pay the tuition fee according to the year of enrollment at the course they are joining. E.g., a student enrolled in 2015\/2016 academic year and failed a semester has to pay the tuition fee of those enrolled in 2016\/2017.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 46.0804%;height: 325px\" \u201cFM\u201d or any exam course \u201cCV\u201d in a semester pay ~50% of their semester tuition fee.<br \/>\n<em>Please note:<\/em> <strong>The permission can be granted upon the student\u2019s written request that has to be handed in at the Directorate of International Studies, Division of the English Language Programs before starting the semester!<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-892\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle tuition-fee\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> When is my tuition fee due?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Generally:<\/strong><br \/>\nFall semesters: 31st of August<br \/>\nSpring semesters: 31st of January<\/p>\n<p>The current deadlines of payment are\u00a0<em>announced by the registrars<\/em>\u00a0before the beginning of every semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules<\/strong>\u00a0regarding\u00a0<strong>tuition fee payment\u00a0<\/strong>and penalty.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Students have\u00a0<strong>one month<\/strong>\u00a0(counted from the first day of the semester) for paying the tuition fee of the given semester\u00a0<strong>without penalty.<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Please note that students cannot get a student certificate, a valid insurance or validation of their student card until their tuition fee is completely settled.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>After the semester\u2019s first month\u00a0<\/strong>has passed, the tuition fee can be paid with a default\u00a0<strong>penalty of 500 USD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>latest deadline\u00a0<\/strong>for paying the tuition fee and penalty is\u00a0<strong>the last day of the study period<\/strong>. (<em>Please note that students cannot register for any exam until their tuition fee plus penalty are completely settled.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>If the above final deadline is missed<\/strong>, i.e. the tuition fee plus penalty are not settled by the end of the study period, the\u00a0<strong>tuition fee for the current semester can no longer be paid<\/strong>, student\u2019s\u00a0<strong>status will remain active<\/strong>, but\u00a0<strong>every signature\u00a0<\/strong>acquired and\u00a0<strong>every grade\u00a0<\/strong>earned by the student during the semester\u00a0<strong>will be deleted.\u00a0<\/strong>The student\u2019s\u00a0status remains active means that the\u00a0debt remains to be made up before the registration to any other active semesters. The status cannot be changed to passive after the end of the teaching term, and the tuition fee of an active semester cannot be remitted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>The student is\u00a0<strong>unable to register<\/strong>\u00a0for a new active semester\u00a0<strong>until the debt has been settled in full<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please take the above rules and deadlines seriously as they will be strictly enforced.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-891\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle tuition-fee\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> How can I ensure full payment of the tuition fee on time by bank transfer?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p class=\"hiddenContentp\">To ensure full payment, please consider that a transfer fee is usually applied when sending money by bank transfer. When transferring the exact amount for the tuition fee, a transfer fee might be deducted from that amount, rendering your tuition fee deficient. Therefore, please contact your home bank prior to transferring the tuition fee and find out whether the bank deducts a transfer fee from the transferred amount. If yes, please pay the transfer fee in addition to the tuition fee.<\/p>\n<p>It is your responsibility to ensure timely and full payment of your tuition fee. It is important for you to keep in mind that checking whether the tuition fee has been paid properly is your responsibility. You are recommended to contact your registrar each term before the payment deadline to find out whether the tuition fee has arrived without any problem.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-890\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle tuition-fee\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> How can I request a company invoice?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Please fill out the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/08\/Company_invoice_claimant_20210806.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Invoice claimant<\/a>\u2018 form and send it to the following e-mail address: <a href=\"mailto:neptun.penzugyiosztaly@semmelweis.hu\">neptun.penzugyiosztaly@semmelweis.hu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-889\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle tuition-fee\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What are the features of the collective invoice\/joint account?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>The amount transferred will appear in Neptun on the next working day, which will be entered into Neptun as a free balance according to the student\u2019s Neptun code, as long as it is not linked to a payment item, the student can withdraw the amount back to his\/her own account number or keep a free balance in the collective invoice for the expenses incurred.<\/li>\n<li><strong>To be identified, the student\u2019s Neptun ID (code) must be entered in the comment field when making the transfer: e.g. NK-123ABC<\/strong> <em>(NK = Neptun K\u00f3d)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>There is further action to be done with the amount transferred to the collective invoice: <strong>the payment item must be linked to the available balance.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The linking can be done in the same way as a regular Neptun payment, except that the student can also choose to pay by the collective invoice payment method in the options available after selecting the pay function. Clinical practice (Faculty of Medicine only)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Medical students may receive a 20% discount on their annual tuition fee if they spend the entire permitted period of the <strong>6th year\u2019s<\/strong> clinical practice abroad <em>(except for the obligatory internships at the University \u2013 if any)<\/em>. The acceptance declarations of the foreign training institutes must be attached to the application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
