It also assesses whether the student is temporarily or permanently unfit to perform healthcare activities due to their physical or mental condition, or fit to perform such activities with restrictions due to illness. Only those whose health, mental, and physical condition allow them to carry out the given activity are authorized to perform healthcare activities. Before commencing healthcare activities, a preliminary aptitude examination (for first-year students) must be undertaken, and a periodic aptitude examination must be carried out at the frequency specified by the healthcare provider (at least once a year).<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-832\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> Where does the aptitude examination take place?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>The aptitude examination is conducted by the Occupational Health Service of Semmelweis University (FESZ).<br \/>\n\u2022 Faculty of Medicine (\u00c1OK), Faculty of Dentistry (FOK), Faculty of Pharmacy (GYTK): 1085 Budapest, Gyulai P\u00e1l utca 2. 2nd floor. (The location may change. After booking, you will receive an email with details of the appointment, location, and directions.)<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-833\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> How can I apply for the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Students can register for assessment via our website developed for this purpose: <a href=\"https:\/\/aptitude.semmelweis.hu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/aptitude.semmelweis.hu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Through the APTITUDE system, which is an appointment booking system. The Occupational Health Service continuously updates and expands the available appointments, therefore it is advisable to check the booking platform regularly. Occasionally, there may be no available slots (all are booked), which is not a system error. When planning your practical training, it is advisable to monitor the availability of aptitude examination appointments in advance and book your slot on time. The FESZ cannot provide out-of-turn appointments due to the start of practical training. It is also possible to set up an appointment alert: if new appointments appear, or if someone cancels and a slot becomes available, you will be notified. The Aptitude system contains a User Guide to help you navigate the platform.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-834\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What happens during the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>You must present your student ID and either your personal ID card or driving license, as well as your Health Record Book. During the aptitude examination, you must also present the required medical reports. These documents will be checked by the occupational health physician, who will take the necessary measures according to the results. A basic physical examination may also take place.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-835\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> Where are the required examinations for the aptitude test carried out?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Newly admitted students and senior students (with active student status) can apply for the required preliminary examinations (see point 7) through the university\u2019s APTITUDE system, which is free of charge. It is also possible to undergo these examinations with an external provider, under the following conditions:<br \/>\n\u2022 Only medical reports in English\/German\/Hungarian are accepted<br \/>\n\u2022 They must include a date, doctor\u2019s stamp, and signature<br \/>\n\u2022 They must be printed<br \/>\n\u2022 Chest X-ray within 365 days, general laboratory results within 180 days<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-836\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> Can I get help with filling in the documentation?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>The documents are available in Hungarian, English, and German in the APTITUDE system, and must be completed accordingly. They are also available on the faculty\u2019s website. Forms (general practitioner\u2019s statement, and specialist\u2019s opinion if necessary) can also be completed abroad, and must be presented at the aptitude examination. If this is not possible abroad, assistance can be requested for a service fee at +36 1 465 3784.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-837\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What vaccinations are required for the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>According to the current epidemiological rules, proof of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Hepatitis B vaccinations must be presented. In case of incomplete Hepatitis B vaccination, the first dose must be administered before the aptitude examination, and the series must be completed afterwards.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-848\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What happens if I fail to attend the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>If you do not attend the examination, you will not receive a fitness certificate, which is a prerequisite for participation in practical training and healthcare activities. Without the certificate, you cannot begin your practice.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-5708\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> How long is the aptitude certificate valid?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>The fitness certificate is generally valid for one year, but in certain cases the occupational physician may issue it for a shorter period. When it expires, a new examination is required.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-8883\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What medical reports are required for the examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>\u2022 For those required to undergo a chest X-ray: if a chest X-ray has been performed within the past year, no new examination is needed (screening chest X-rays are not performed within intervals shorter than one year).<br \/>\n\u2022 In higher years, if the previous chest X-ray is about to expire within one month, a shortened validity of fitness may be issued.<br \/>\n\u2022 Instead of a chest X-ray, a negative IGRA test result is also accepted by the occupational physician.<br \/>\n\u2022 Female students should only undergo X-ray examination if pregnancy can be safely excluded.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-11005\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What documentation is required for the examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>For newly admitted students, the following documents must be presented at the aptitude examination. For senior students, only the medical documentation mentioned in point (g) is required, if there has been a change in health status. If you are under specialist medical treatment, please present your most recent medical records.<br \/>\na) Childhood vaccination record, including MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Hepatitis B vaccinations. If the vaccination record is missing, or it shows fewer than two Hepatitis B (Engerix B) doses, an official certificate confirming the vaccinations is required. This certificate can be obtained from the district nurse\u2019s office (school nurse) where you attended the 7th grade.<\/p>\n<p>b) Completed and signed \u201cMedical History (Anamnesis) Form\u201d<\/p>\n<p>c) Completed, signed, and stamped \u201cGeneral Practitioner\u2019s Statement\u201d<\/p>\n<p>d) Completed and signed \u201cDeclaration according to Annex 5 of the Occupational Safety Regulations of Semmelweis University\u201d<\/p>\n<p>e) Completed and signed \u201cHealth Declaration and Examination Data\u201d Health Record Book (available at stationery shops) f) Completed and signed \u201cHealth Declaration\u201d form<\/p>\n<p>g) Copy of medical documentation regarding chronic illnesses (outpatient records, discharge summaries, specialist\u2019s opinion)<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-11006\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> Can the documentation required for the aptitude test be completed in a foreign language?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Yes. The documents (general practitioner\u2019s statement, specialist\u2019s opinion, if necessary) can be completed in English, German, or Hungarian, and must be presented in printed form.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-11007\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What are the possible outcomes of the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>a) Fit: authorized to participate in healthcare activities without restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>b) Fit with restrictions: authorized to participate in healthcare activities with restrictions determined by the occupational physician.<\/p>\n<p>c) Temporarily unfit: temporarily not authorized to participate in healthcare activities.<\/p>\n<p>d) Unfit: permanently excluded from healthcare activities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-11008\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> How do I receive the result of the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>The occupational physician records the result in the Health Record Book, which must be presented at the beginning of practical training. Without this, the student cannot be admitted to healthcare activities.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"qaef-11009\" class=\"qe-faq-toggle aptitude-test\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-title\">\n\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<i class=\"fa fa-minus-circle\"><\/i> What should I do if my health status changes after the aptitude examination?\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"qe-toggle-content\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>If your health condition changes (e.g., illness, surgery, new medication, pregnancy), you must report it immediately to the occupational physician.
