SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDY and RESEARCH in GERMANY<\/strong><\/p>\n

(<\/span>Candidates: Christian Master Students as well asPhD students and researchers)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The KAAD – Catholic Academic Exchange Service \u2013 for more than 50 years has been granting scholarships for study and research in Germany to students and researchers (laity). The Alumni community of KAAD covers nearly 8,000 alumni in 120 countries. A global partner network and contacts are available to KAAD scholarship holders as well as candidates worldwide.
The Academic Council of KAAD meets twice a year (March and September) and decides about scholarships for studies, postgraduate studies or research projects. The KAAD scholarship holders are free to choose university, research institute, archive, hospital and other academic institutions to implement study or research stay.<\/p>\n

All academic disciplines are covered<\/p>\n

(except the training of priests \/ members of religious orders and PhD studies in theology).<\/p>\n

The following documents (amongst others) have to be submitted:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Application form (to be sent directly to KAAD).<\/li>\n
  2. Description of research project (objectives of the study, training or research project).<\/li>\n
  3. Two letters of recommendation written by professors of candidate\u2019s home university.<\/li>\n
  4. Confirmation from a supervising professor in Germany.<\/li>\n
  5. Admission letter from a German university (only for Master’s and PhD students).<\/li>\n
  6. Recommendation of a priest from the candidate\u2019s home church.<\/li>\n
  7. German language certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Scholarship duration: from 2 Months up to 36 Months
    Scholarship amount: 750, – 2,000 EUR monthly<\/p>\n

    KAAD reimburses travel expenses (round-trip ticket) and<\/p>\n

    provides monthly subsidy to health insurance.
