Call for Applications for Highlighted Doctoral Defenses \u2013 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Semmelweis Doctoral School offers the opportunity to organize doctoral defenses at the Semmelweis Salon.<\/p>\n

The organization of defenses follows the usual procedure. The candidate\u2019s supervisor must declare that the members of the Defense Committee will participate at the proposed time(s). The Doctoral Office will provide the venue and technical support. Upon request, a video recording of the defense can be made and published on the University\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

(In case of oversubscription, priority will be given to candidates whose dissertation includes a first-author publication in a D1-ranked journal and who wish to conduct the defense in English.)<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The candidate undertakes to submit all required documentation for the public defense (CV, invitation, responses to reviewers\u2019 comments) to the Doctoral Office by April 4, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Catering:<\/strong> Available through the University\u2019s contracted partner, with a contribution of HUF 100,000 + VAT from the Doctoral Office.<\/p>\n

Application submission:<\/strong>
\nApplications must be submitted electronically as a single PDF file to phd.palyazatok@semmelweis.hu<\/a> \u00a0between February 20 and March 20, 2026<\/strong>.
\nEvaluation deadline: March 31, 2026<\/strong>.
\nTo increase the chances of success, it is advisable to indicate multiple possible dates in the application.<\/p>\n
