I. floor). The scope of the application includes the provision of the venue, technical equipment, and catering services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible Applicants:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doctoral students.<br \/>\nIn case of oversubscription, preference will be given to applicants whose dissertation includes a first-author publication in a\u00a0<strong>D1-ranked journal<\/strong>\u00a0and who intend to conduct the defense in\u00a0<strong>English<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Available Defense Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Defenses can be organized at the Semmelweis Salon on the following dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>November 3, 2025 (Monday):<\/strong>\u00a010:00, 13:00, 16:00<\/li>\n<li><strong>November 4, 2025 (Tuesday):<\/strong>\u00a09:00, 12:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Amount of Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Catering services can be arranged through the University\u2019s contracted partner. The Doctoral Office can contribute\u00a0<strong>100,000 HUF + VAT<\/strong>\u00a0toward the cost.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Defense Organization:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Defenses are organized in the usual manner. The candidate\u2019s supervisor must confirm that the committee members are available at the proposed time. The Doctoral Office will provide the venue and technical equipment. Upon request, a\u00a0<strong>video recording<\/strong>\u00a0of the defense can be made and published on the University\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Video Recording:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon request, a video recording of the defense can be made and published on the University\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Submission:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications must be submitted electronically to the\u00a0<strong>Doctoral Office of Semmelweis University<\/strong>\u00a0in a single PDF file to the following email address:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:phd.palyazatok@semmelweis.hu\">phd.palyazatok@semmelweis.hu<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Deadline: October 3, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications will be evaluated and applicants notified within\u00a0<strong>3 working days<\/strong>\u00a0of receipt. Available time slots will be continuously updated in the call.
