{"id":65065,"date":"2025-07-25T11:36:03","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T09:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/?p=65065"},"modified":"2025-11-26T17:28:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T16:28:35","slug":"additional-admission-process-for-fall-semester-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/2025\/07\/25\/additional-admission-process-for-fall-semester-2025-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Additional Admission Process for Fall Semester 2025\/26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Doctoral College, Semmelweis University\u00a0 announces admission for both state-granted\u00a0 and self-financed PhD programs (excluding the MD-PhD program), as well as participation in the doctoral program as an individual degree candidate, starting from <strong>September 1, 2025<\/strong> within the divisions of the Doctoral College.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cardiovascular Medicine and Research Division<\/li>\n<li>Theoretical and Translational Medicine Division<\/li>\n<li>Dental Research Division<\/li>\n<li>Surgical Medicine Division<\/li>\n<li>K\u00e1roly R\u00e1cz Conservative Medicine Division<\/li>\n<li>Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Technologies Division<\/li>\n<li>Mental Health Sciences Division<\/li>\n<li>Health Sciences Division<\/li>\n<li>J\u00e1nos Szent\u00e1gothai Neurosciences Division<\/li>\n<li>Molecular Medicine Division<\/li>\n<li>Pathological and Oncological Division<\/li>\n<li>John von Neumann Data Science Division<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications can be submitted via the following online platform between <strong>August 4\u201324, 2025<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/phdapplicant.semmelweis.hu\/login\"><button type=\"button\" data-url=\"https:\/\/phdapplicant.semmelweis.hu\">http:\/\/phdapplicant.semmelweis.hu<\/button><\/a> <br \/>\n(Supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The application procedure fee is 9,000 HUF<\/strong>, which can be paid via:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Online credit card payment<\/strong> (through the admission platform via Simple Pay)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Bank transfer<\/strong>, based on an invoice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If bank transfer is selected, please send the <strong>billing information listed below<\/strong> to the staff of the Financial Office (<strong>titkarsag.digh@semmelweis.hu<\/strong>) at least <strong>1 day before<\/strong> finalizing the application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Applicant\u2019s full name and address<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ID card number<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Phone number<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Email address<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For requesting a company invoice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Applicant\u2019s full name<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Company name<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Company headquarters (registered address)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Company tax number<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Phone number<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Email address<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A declaration from the company via email stating whether they accept electronic invoices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on the submitted information, the Financial Office will issue an invoice and send it to the applicant, who can then complete the bank transfer referencing that invoice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important notice:<\/strong> If the company&#8217;s bank account number is not listed in the official company registry, a signed PDF statement from the company confirming the bank account number must also be submitted.<\/p>\n<p>For payment via bank transfer, the <strong>bank receipt must be uploaded<\/strong> to the application platform <strong>and<\/strong> sent to the Financial Office. (<a href=\"mailto:titkarsag.digh@semmelweis.hu\">titkarsag.digh@semmelweis.hu<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finalizing the application is only possible after uploading the bank receipt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Documents required for PhD application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>CV detailing prior professional activities (1\u20132 pages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Copy of university degree<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>If the diploma is in a foreign language, its certified translation or official recognition document; in some cases, a copy of the equivalency decision by the relevant ministry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If the applicant doesn\u2019t yet have a university degree, a transcript of completed exams (gradebook or credit certificate printed from NEPTUN)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proof of at least B2 level complex state-recognized language exam (&#8222;C&#8221; type intermediate), or equivalent certificate; alternatively, confirmation from the supervisor or the Director of Professional Language that the language level meets research needs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Brief research plan (2\u20133 pages) with a topic outline; if applying to a named supervisor\/topic, the plan should include the supervisor\u2019s signed approval<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>List of publications (if available)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bank receipt if paying via transfer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Documents certifying additional points (awards, certificates, journal cover pages, full publications, second diploma, specialization certificate, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Optional document:<\/em> Written recommendations from two recognized experts in the applicant\u2019s field.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required documents for application as an individual doctoral candidate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>CV detailing previous professional activities (1\u20132 pages)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Copy of university degree<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>If the diploma is in a foreign language: certified translation or official recognition document, and if necessary, the equivalency statement issued by the relevant ministry<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If the applicant has not yet received a university degree: transcript of completed exams (gradebook or NEPTUN credit certificate)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proof of at least B2 level complex state-recognized language exam (&#8222;C&#8221; type intermediate), or equivalent certification; alternatively, confirmation of sufficient language proficiency from the supervisor or the Directorate of Professional Language<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Brief summary of the research topic<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>List of publications<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Recommendation from the prospective supervisor\/consultant<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proof of payment if paying by bank transfer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Documents supporting any additional points (certificates, awards, journal cover pages, full publications, second diploma copy, specialization certificate, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Admissions interview dates: Expected to take place in late August or early September 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Enrollment condition for individual candidates:<\/strong> The doctoral program may only begin if the applicant successfully passes a <strong>complex exam<\/strong> following the admission interview in late August or early September.<\/p>\n<p>The theoretical part of the complex exam consists of <strong>one major subject<\/strong> and <strong>one minor subject<\/strong>, while the practical part involves a <strong>brief presentation of the research project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Further information regarding the complex exam is available from the <strong>secretariat of the doctoral divisions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> To begin doctoral studies a\u00a0 <strong>certificate of good conduct issued within the past three months<\/strong> are required.
