{"id":14891,"date":"2022-11-16T09:58:20","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T08:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/?p=14891"},"modified":"2023-04-21T15:44:52","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T13:44:52","slug":"phd-application-for-2022-23-2-semester-from-21-november-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/2022\/11\/16\/phd-application-for-2022-23-2-semester-from-21-november-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"PhD application for 2023\/24\/1 semester"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Doctoral Council calls for application for PhD training.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Semmelweis University School of Ph.D. Studies offers two conventional programs for obtaining a PhD. degree:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular (\u201cTrained\u201d) Program\n<ul>\n<li>recommended for students with no or moderate scientific experience<\/li>\n<li>duration: 5-8 semesters (4 semesters for training and research, 1-4 semesters for research and preparing the diploma work)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Advanced (\u201cUntrained\u201d) Program\n<ul>\n<li>recommended for students with significant scientific experience and achievements<\/li>\n<li>duration: 1-4 semesters for research and preparing the dissertation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Application to the Untrained program involves\u00a0 an entrance interview and the complex exam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admission requirements and process for training program:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doctoral applicants must be university graduates (MSc or MA degree) or students registered for their final semester of university studies.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants for the English-Language program must have a good command of English, which is assessed at the entrance interviews<\/li>\n<li>When applying to the program, applicants are required to state the specific training program and research topic they wish to pursue within one of the University\u2019s\u00a0 doctoral schools.<\/li>\n<li>All the doctoral programs and the open\u00a0 topics led by active supervisors of the School of PhD Studies are available:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/doktori-iskolak-en\/doktori-iskolak-temai-en\/\">https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/doktori-iskolak-en\/doktori-iskolak-temai-en\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The admission procedure is based on evaluating the candidate\u2019s\u00a0general and topic-related knowledge as well as personal ability, academic competence\u00a0and previous scientific activity and contribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Forms of Financing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>State Grant (available only for EU citizens)\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>fellowship of 140.000 HUF\/month during training and 180.000 HUF\/month thereafter<\/li>\n<li>but not entitled to TAJ card in Hungary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Self-financed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The admission fee is HUF 9,000, which can be paid:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>by online card payment (payment by Debit or Credit card via Simple pay, started from the Application interface)<\/li>\n<li>by bank transfer, based on Proforma invoice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you choose bank transfer, please send the following information to Anita M\u00e1rczis (<a href=\"mailto:marczis.anita@semmelweis.hu\">marczis.anita@semmelweis.hu<\/a>) and M\u00f3nika Baracsi (<a href=\"mailto:baracsi.monika@semmelweis.hu\">baracsi.monika@semmelweis.hu<\/a>): applicant&#8217;s name, address, ID number\/Passport number, phone number, email address, or in case of a company invoice request: applicant&#8217;s name, company name, Billing \u00a0address, tax number, phone number, email address and the company&#8217;s statement in email about that it accepts electronic invoices.<\/p>\n<p>IMPORTANT!
