We are using a unique method in Hungary where we directly reprogram patients fibroblasts into induced neurons. These transdifferentiated neurons which do not undergo any clonal selection, stem cell or neuroprogenitor phase keep the genetic and epigenetic ageing signature of the donor therefore providing a new and exciting model to study ageing and age-related neurodegenerative diseases.
