{"id":66035,"date":"2026-01-16T14:40:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T13:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/?page_id=66035"},"modified":"2026-01-27T13:53:04","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T12:53:04","slug":"call-for-applications-for-the-reclassification-of-self-financed-md%e2%80%91phd-students-to-state-funded-status","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/for-students\/schools-of-phd-studies-calendar\/call-for-applications-for-the-reclassification-of-self-financed-md%e2%80%91phd-students-to-state-funded-status\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications for the Reclassification of Self-Financed MD\u2011PhD Students to State-Funded Status"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Purpose of the Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>To support the scientific advancement of <strong>MD\u2011PhD students who are not receiving state scholarships<\/strong>, based on excellence, with the aim of increasing the number and quality of doctoral degree completions.<\/p>\n<h3>Available Scholarship<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>State-funded PhD scholarship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligible Applicants<\/h3>\n<p>All MD\u2011PhD students who hold Hungarian or European Union citizenship and who are currently not enrolled as state-funded PhD students may apply.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements for Evaluation<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Hungarian or European Union citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Proof of outstanding scientific activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Evaluation Criteria \u2013 Scientific Activity of the Applicant<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>First-author publications classified as D1, Q1, or Q2 (based on SCImago ranking)<\/li>\n<li>Co\u2011author publications classified as D1, Q1, or Q2 (based on SCImago ranking)<\/li>\n<li>1st\u20132nd place or special prize at OTDK<\/li>\n<li>1st\u20132nd\u20133rd prize in the Rector\u2019s Competition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Conditions for Disbursement of the Scholarship<\/h3>\n<p>The scholarship recipient undertakes to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Present their research results at the annually organized PhD Scientific Days<\/li>\n<li>Fulfil the requirements for obtaining the degree and submit their doctoral dissertation by the legally defined deadline (within three years after the comprehensive exam)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Documents to Be Submitted<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Publication list printed from MTMT and certified by the Central Library, indicating impact factor, citations, and journal rankings (based on SCImago ranking: D1, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4)<\/li>\n<li>For already accepted but not yet MTMT\u2011listed publications: the acceptance letter and a copy of the article\u2019s title page<\/li>\n<li>Copy of certificates proving placements achieved at OTDK and the Rector\u2019s Competition<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/files\/2026\/01\/Atsorolos_palyazati_adatlap_2026_angol_0119.docx\">Application form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Applications must be submitted via email to: <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:phd.palyazatok@semmelweis.hu\"><strong>phd.palyazatok@semmelweis.hu<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline: 31 January 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"keretes w-100\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Applicants will receive confirmation of receipt by email. <strong>If no confirmation is received within 7 days after submission, please notify us at: <\/strong><\/span><a href=\"mailto:csorba-jonas.csilla@semmelweis.hu\"><strong>csorba-jonas.csilla@semmelweis.hu<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Applicants will be informed of the results by email by 28 February.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications submitted after the deadline cannot be accepted.
