{"id":64996,"date":"2025-07-22T15:55:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-22T13:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/?page_id=64996"},"modified":"2026-01-27T13:44:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T12:44:12","slug":"predoctoral-scholarship-application","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/phd\/en\/for-students\/schools-of-phd-studies-calendar\/predoctoral-scholarship-application\/","title":{"rendered":"Predoctoral Scholarship Application for the Academic Year 2025\/2026 \u2013 First Semester"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"keretes w-100\">\n<h4><strong>PREDOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION <\/strong><strong>For the Academic Year 2025\/2026 \u2013 First Semester<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To support the PhD degree attainment of students who completed their doctoral training in the academic years 2023\/2024 or 2024\/2025 and already have publications.<\/p>\n<p>The current scholarship applies to the first semester of the 2025\/2026 academic year (September 1, 2025 \u2013 January 31, 2026).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD and MD-PhD students who obtained their absolutorium in the academic years 2023\/2024 or 2024\/2025<\/li>\n<li>Those who already have publications that can be used toward obtaining the PhD degree<\/li>\n<li>Those who will not defend their doctoral dissertation by September 15, 2025<\/li>\n<li>Those who do not receive other predoctoral or doctoral candidate funding (incompatibility with EK\u00d6P grants)<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must commit to submitting their dissertation within 12 months, with a repayment obligation in case of non-compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Not eligible:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Students who completed their doctoral training and received a university predoctoral scholarship in the 2024\/2025 academic year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Form of support:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monthly payment of HUF 180,000 for 5 months, which may be extended by an additional 7 months depending on performance and available resources of the Doctoral School<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Expectations for scholarship recipients within 12 months of receiving the support:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Fulfillment of all requirements for obtaining the PhD degree (see Doctoral Regulations)<\/li>\n<li>Completion of the internal defense of the doctoral dissertation<\/li>\n<li>Submission of the doctoral dissertation to the Doctoral Office<\/li>\n<li>In case of non-compliance, a study contract must be signed with Semmelweis University stipulating repayment of the support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Application procedure:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applications must be submitted via the online platform at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/palyazz.semmelweis.hu\">https:\/\/palyazz.semmelweis.hu<\/a> by\u00a0<strong>August 24, 2025<\/strong>.
