Call for Applications (EK\u00d6P-KDP-2025)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The aim of the application:<\/strong> is to further expand the number of employees in the field of research, development, and innovation \u2013 primarily in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields \u2013 who wish to enhance their professional knowledge with the latest scientific research results and are committed to the social and economic utilization of their knowledge.<\/p>\n

Eligibility of applicants<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Applications can be submitted by doctoral students who started their doctoral studies in 2024 or 2025 and have not yet taken the complex exam or completed the complex exam in the spring semester of the 2024\/2025 academic year, or have applied for admission to the doctoral program starting in the 2025\/2026 academic year. Additionally, it is essential that during the EK\u00d6P-KDP scholarship period, the student must have an employment relationship or other work-related legal relationship with their employer, within which they are employed full-time (eight hours a day) or at least 50% of full-time in the case of part-time employment, and receive at least the guaranteed minimum wage \u2013 calculated proportionally in the case of part-time employment.<\/p>\n

Evaluation of the application<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Formally valid, accepted applications are evaluated in writing by reviewers approved by Semmelweis University. The written evaluation must certify the scores. The applications are evaluated by two anonymous reviewers. Based on the written reviews, the decision proposal on\u00a0 the applicants of EK\u00d6P-KDP scholarship is made at the meeting of the Doctoral Scholarship Committee\u00a0 of Semmelweis University Doctoral College. Based on the decision proposal, the supporting decision is made by the rector of Semmelweis University,\u00a0 no later than September 10, 2025.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement of the results, the NKFIH will sign support contracts with the higher education institutions hosting the students participating in the EK\u00d6P-KDP.<\/p>\n

The amount and duration of the scholarship:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Under the application, the EK\u00d6P-KDP scholarship student receives a monthly net support of HUF 400,000<\/strong>. The supervisor and expert assisting the scholarship student and participating in the implementation of the application also receive financial support. This amount is HUF 120,000 gross per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The duration of the EK\u00d6P-KDP scholarship relationship: minimum 24 months, maximum 48 months.<\/p>\n

The start of the EK\u00d6P-KDP scholarship is September 1, 2025, or February 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
