This year, the 32nd Semmelweis Symposium was organised by our university and the Network Medicine Alliance, which took place at the Basic Medical Science Center from 11 to 13 November. The event focused on network medicine, with more than 900 participants, and the Institute of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy was represented by our colleagues and PhD students from the Bioinformatics Laboratory, among others.<\/p>\n

The theme of the conference was „Network Medicine for Future Healthcare” and featured a number of distinguished speakers in their fields, including the world-renowned physicist Dr. Albert-L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Barab\u00e1si, Dr. Ijad Madisch, founder and CEO of ResearchGate. Many researchers from universities abroad, such as Harvard, Karolinska, La Sapienza in Rome and Maastricht University, gave presentations. The event also attracted 120 poster abstracts, which competed in 10 categories. Two of our PhD students, Oliv\u00e9r Balogh and \u00c1ron M\u00e1rk Csern\u00e1k received the „Semmelweis Best Poster Award”.<\/p>\n\r\n [slb_exclude]\r\n
