About the Course: Oncology<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Oncology has been taught as a fully independent, semester-long subject for 5th-year students of the Faculty of Medicine since the 2018\/2019 academic year. The increased number of contact hours (14 hours of classroom lectures and 42 hours of practical training) allows students to familiarize themselves with the principles of complex oncological treatment for major solid tumors, in addition to acquiring basic knowledge of general oncology.
\nThe curriculum primarily focuses on the pharmacotherapy and radiotherapy of tumors; diagnostic algorithms and surgical treatment of specific tumors are addressed only to the extent necessary for a comprehensive and synthesizing understanding of the multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic principles of oncological patient care.<\/p>\n

Examination Requirements<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Preparation for the examination is supported by a comprehensive set of 150 detailed questions, covering the modern and practically relevant knowledge base of the Clinical Oncology subject. The questions were compiled by the course lecturers based on the curriculum, highlighting key topics and competencies essential for mastering the subject and developing a complex oncological perspective. Students can access these questions in the form of mini-tests at the end of classroom lectures, as well as through the Moodle system.<\/p>\n

Grading Method and Scale:<\/h5>\n

Above 90%: excellent (5); 80-89%: good (4); 70-79%: average (3); 60-69%: satisfactory (2); below 60%: fail (1).<\/p>\n

Exam Registration Method:<\/h5>\n

Exam registration is conducted exclusively via the NEPTUN Unified Education System, in accordance with the regulations set forth in the Study and Examination Regulations (TVSZ).<\/p>\n
