\"\"SeKA <\/strong>is an acronym for Semmelweis University Central Authentication.<\/em> This system was created to provide secure access to the university’s various websites<\/strong> requiring user identification,<\/strong> using a single login name and password.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

SSO<\/strong> (single sign-on) means that if you log into a website that requires user identification, you can access other services without having to enter your password again.<\/p>\n

The SeKA ID<\/strong> also works as an EduID<\/strong> (see eduid.hu\/en<\/a>), so it also provides access to services outside the university that require EduID login.<\/p>\n

Since 2022, SeKA access are automatically created<\/strong> on the basis of the O365 system<\/strong> operated by the Directorate General of Information Technology. After activating your Outlook e-mail address<\/a>, the SeKA login name and the password are synchronised from the O365 system.<\/p>\n

Students<\/h2>\n
\n\n

For students,<\/strong> the SeKA login name is the same as the 6-character Neptun ID, and the password is identical to the O365 password.<\/p>\n

\n

IMPORTANT<\/strong>\u00a0Before first use, students need to activate their university e-mail address according to the instructions below.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is not required to use VPN connection<\/strong> to use SeKA (including Moodle and Zoom).<\/p>\n

The VPN service for students, hosted by the University Library, can be accessed via the link below<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>

Teachers and colleagues<\/h2>\n
\n\n

For teachers and other employees<\/strong> of the university, the SeKA login name is the same as their university email address (@semmelweis.hu), and the password is identical to the O365 password.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT <\/strong>Before first use, staff members need to activate their university e-mail address according to the instructions below.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is not required to use VPN connection<\/strong> to use SeKA (including Moodle and Zoom). (If you do need a VPN connection for other reasons, please refer to <\/em>the website<\/a> of the Directorate General of Information Technology<\/em>).<\/em><\/p>\n\n<\/div>

Guest lecturers<\/h2>\n

For guest lecturers,<\/strong> a university staff member (e.g. manager, HR, colleague) must initiate a user request on the following website.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
