AICER (Anatomy & Innovation Center for Education and Research)<\/strong> is a new center currently under development at Semmelweis University, one of Central Eastern Europe\u2019s leading medical institutions with a high proportion of international students. The center is designed to become a flagship hub for cadaver-based surgical education<\/strong>, translational research, and medical innovation. AICER aims to combine the university\u2019s long-standing expertise in anatomy and surgical training with cutting-edge infrastructure and digital technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

AICER is expected to take on a pivotal role in surgical education and skill development. The curriculum spans multiple specialties, including orthopedics, trauma, cardio-thoracic, vascular, and endoscopic surgery<\/strong>, fostering a truly multidisciplinary learning environment<\/strong>. All programs will be small-group, hands-on, and internationally accredited<\/strong>, ensuring realistic, high-fidelity surgical education. Participants will be guided by expert mentors as they refine their skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“We also view it as our mission to facilitate the preclinical evaluation of the latest medical technological advancements. With the approval of the Scientific and Research Ethics Committee (SREC), we engage in the real human anatomical testing of novel surgical procedures and devices led by recognized specialists and both domestic and European medical device manufacturers. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Semmelweis University has been offering cadaver-based surgical training<\/strong> since 2019, led by renowned experts in the field. These hands-on courses are held in small groups and focus on realistic, high-fidelity surgical education.<\/span><\/p>\n
