<\/a>The four-member delegation arrived from South Korea following the preliminary arrangements on the request of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Hungary. The Catholic University of Korea and the Korea University were each represented by one professor and the Korean National Health Personnel Licensing Examination Board also delegated two members: Director Song Kyu Rim and Vice-Director Kim Hyun Seob.<\/p>\nAt the outset of the day-and-a-half-long programme, Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Kellermayer, vice-dean of the Faculty Medicine presented Semmelweis University focusing primarily on the theoretical and practical education. Following the presentation, the Korean delegation\u2019s questions were answered by the representatives of Semmelweis University, including Dean Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Hunyady; Dr. Tam\u00e1s Masszi, vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Zolt\u00e1n Zsolt Nagy, vice-director and former vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Istv\u00e1n Kar\u00e1di, director and former dean; and Dr. M\u00e1rk Kollai, director of the Foreign Students\u2019 Secretariat. The Korean delegation was primarily interested in the academic requirements, the various forms of examinations as well as the challenges faced by international students, the support they are entitled to and the kinds of feedback they receive from their professors. The parties also discussed the representation of students and the evaluation and education of teachers.<\/p>\n

The Korean delegation, apart from the leadership, also met with students to discuss why they chose Semmelweis University, to what extent they manage to familiarise themselves with clinical care and the experience they acquire regarding interaction with patients.<\/p>\n
The delegation visited various University departments and institutes the following day where they had the opportunity to observe theoretical and practical courses as well as research activities.<\/p>\n
As the conclusion of the visit, the Korean delegation expressed its agreement with what they had seen while the representatives of Semmelweis University informed the delegation that they wish to expand the network of accredited South Korean teaching hospitals.<\/p>\n
