Between May 7-8.\u00a0a delegation from Semmelweis University visited\u00a0the\u00a0EUniWell\u00a0Alliance\u2019s\u00a0newes\u00a0member, the\u00a0Medical University of Warsaw\u00a0(MUW)\u00a0to explore new opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and international mobility.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, Semmelweis University\u00a0was\u00a0represented\u00a0by\u00a0Dr. Al\u00e1n Alp\u00e1r, Vice Rector for International Education, Dr. Szab\u00f3 Bence Tam\u00e1s, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry,\u00a0Dr. Tam\u00e1s Heged\u00fcs, Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Alumni Affairs; Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Kellermayer, Head of the Department of Biophysics and Radiation Biology;\u00a0\u00a0Levente V\u00e1g\u00f3, Deputy Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Alumni Affairs\u00a0and Fanni Matyasovszki,\u00a0EUniWell\u00a0Institutional Coordinator.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Semmelweis delegation was welcomed by representatives of the MUW university leadership and academic community, including Prof. Dorota Olczak-Kowalczyk, Vice Rector for Personnel and Organizational Affairs; Prof. Agnieszka Mielczarek, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry; Dr. Olga Rostkowska, Chair of the EUniWell Steering Committee and EUniWell Institutional Coordinator; and representatives of the International Relations Office and local EUniWell student community. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, discussions focused on expanding the already existing exchange partnership between the two universities, with exciting ideas\u00a0emerging\u00a0around joint Winter and Summer Schools, future research collaborations, and broader academic cooperation opportunities\u00a0–\u00a0particularly in the field of dentistry and regenerative medicine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The meetings also highlighted the growing cooperation between the two institutions within the EUniWell alliance. Through the ongoing 10th Seed Funding Call, students and staff members from both universities have already started developing new project ideas together, further strengthening the academic ties between Warsaw and Budapest.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A future visit of the Warsaw partner delegation to Semmelweis University in autumn 2026 is also being considered as the next milestone in this developing partnership.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
