All Semmelweis University students and colleagues are invited and welcome. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The #FestiWell event from 19 to 20 October is going to highlight research and education, values and actions to create, advance and foster well-being. In just two days participants can get to know EUniWell better, become part of its diverse and international community, participate in valuable conversations and gain insights into existing and future collaborations, such as the next EUniWell Seed Funding Program. This an excellent opportunity for international experts to share their thoughts and knowledge with the citizens of partner universities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The full program of the 2-day online event and the sign-up link can be found on the EUniWell website: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euniwell.eu\/participate\/events\/detail\/festiwell\">EUniWell:<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euniwell.eu\/participate\/events\/detail\/festiwell\"> FestiWell<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The event will be accessible online, spectators can also follow the events live on the screens placed in the aula of the Basic Medical Science Center. Participants of the Semmelweis Well-Being Days will be able to take part in free screenings provided by the Semmelweis Health Promotion Center. After registration, the participants will be able to choose from numerous screening programs: body-composition analysis, cardiovascular and diabetes risk assessment, blood sugar-, blood pressure- and cholesterol tests, lifestyle counseling and a physical health check.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-28338 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/10\/Festiwell-400x213.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"213\" \/>Participants may also attend different kinds of art, recreation and sport activities supported and organized by the International Semmelweis Student Association and the Semmelweis Students\u2019 Union. Students will get a chance to learn about services and opportunities that affect university well-being and to express their ideas regarding the promotion of well-being.<\/p>\n<p>The two major events of the Well-Being Days are the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conversation with Luca Ekler, paralympic athlete and world record holder &#8211; 19th October, 18:30-19:30<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-28341 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/10\/Ekler-Luca-400x276.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"276\" \/>During this inspiring talk Luca Ekler will touch on the success, challenges, and the ups and downs of her paralympic career.<\/p>\n<p>Luca will be interviewed by Mikl\u00f3s Kellermayer, (dean of the Faculty of Medicine) and F\u00e9lix Tak\u00e1cs (vice-president of the Students\u2019 Union).<\/p>\n<p>Venue of the event: Szent-Gy\u00f6rgyi Albert Auditorium, Basic Medical Science Center<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at the following link for further information (in Hungarian): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/275337107791980\/?ref=newsfeed\">Kudarcb\u00f3l siker, \u00fat a j\u00f3ll\u00e9thez &#8211; Besz\u00e9lget\u00e9s Ekler Luc\u00e1val | Facebook<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-28342 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/semmelweis.hu\/english\/files\/2021\/10\/RS135949_AG_20210707_04447-scr-400x267-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/>The EUniWell Open Lecture Series will be opened<\/strong> by Prof. Botond Roska on <strong>20 October between 13:15-14:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof. Roska\u2019s English language lecture about \u201cRestoring vision\u201d<\/strong> will be broadcasted in the Basic Medical Science Center\u2019s aula and will be webcasted live as well.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Roska (visiting professor and former student of Semmelweis University) is the director at the Institute for Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel.
