Opportunities for expanding the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences\u2019s (GYTK) international partnerships in the areas of science and higher education were discussed at a meeting between Dr. Rom\u00e1na Zelk\u00f3, the faculty\u2019s dean, and Dr. Sandrine Lacombe, who visited Semmelweis University representing the Paris-based University of Paris-Saclay, one of the largest European centers of higher education.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Dr. Sandrine Lacombe is vice president of international affairs at the University of Paris-Saclay<\/a>, and the director of the Erasmus Mundus Master SERP+<\/a> program. During the talks with dean Dr. Rom\u00e1na Zelk\u00f3 held at Semmelweis University, the parties compared the education systems of the two universities, including the training of pharmacists, and discussed the specialty fields that could form the basis of cooperations in the areas of higher education and science.<\/p>\n

The Paris university is one of the largest centers of higher education in Europe, with 65,000 students and more than 10,000 academic research staff, who work in more than 300 research laboratories. Building on its results in innovation, there are around 100 startup companies established at the university each year. Based on the current establishing of contacts, the talks\u2019 participants see opportunities for establishing long-term and successful cooperations in the areas of science and higher education.<\/p>\n
