In the organisation of the Hungarian Rectors\u2019 Conference, the representatives of the Brazilian Rectors Conference (ABRUEM), visited Semmelweis University during their round trip. In order to continue their earlier mutual cooperation, the parties are planning to hand in a mutual grant to the Erasmus+ programme.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Earlier Semmelweis University took part in the Brazilian Government\u2019s \u201cScience Without Borders\u201d programme, therefore 30 students were accepted at the Faculty of Medicine, 34 students at the Faculty of Health Sciences and 19 students at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Brazil in the 2013\/14, 2014\/15, 2015\/16 school years. The Brazilian delegation\u2019s visit gave the opportunity to the representatives of the higher educational institutions of the South American country to introduce themselves and to get introduced to Semmelweis University\u2019s pieces of training, researches and its place among the universities of the world.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Zolt\u00e1n Zsolt Nagy, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Rom\u00e1na Zelk\u00f3, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Moln\u00e1r, Vice-Dean for gradual training of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Marcel Pop, Director of the Directorate of International Relations and Dr. Judit Vadl\u00f6v\u0151, Project Coordinator at the Directorate of International Relations.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>After Dr. Marcel Pop introduced the university, Dr. Ad\u00e9lia Maria Carvalho de Melo Pinheiro, Vice-President of ABRUEM, stated that the representatives of those seven universities participate at the meeting where health- and medical training and research take place. Pinheiro Vice-President suggested that besides cooperation regarding student exchange, research cooperation should also be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n

Dr. Zolt\u00e1n Zsolt Nagy stated that they would happily accept more Brazilian students studying at Semmelweis University that could be actualised in the frame of Erasmus+ programme. To answer Dr. Carlos Luciano Sant\u2019Ana Vargas\u2019, Rector of Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, enquiry, Dr. Mikl\u00f3s Moln\u00e1r explained that the knowledge of the Hungarian language is essential, however, Brazilian students could come for short practice to the special areas without direct contact because the knowledge of English language is enough there.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, based on Dr. Marcel Pop\u2019s suggestion, the participants agreed to assign the concrete cooperation fields, including the probable mutual handing in of a grant to the Erasmus+ programme.<\/p>\n
